Echos is an AI-powered customer assistant designed to make advanced customer engagement tools accessible to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Built as a WordPress plugin, it allows users to create their own custom chatbots in just a few minutes—no coding or technical expertise required. By answering ten simple questions, users can set up a chatbot tailored to their business’s unique needs and style, a process that’s far easier and faster than traditional methods.
The chatbot is powered by the Google Gemini, which generates responses to user queries and performs emotional analysis on incoming messages. This helps businesses categorize and respond more effectively, improving customer interactions. Echos also provides valuable metrics, such as session counts and conversation logs, giving users insights to refine their customer engagement strategies.
Developed for the 2024 Google AI Hackathon in collaboration with Tiago Aragona, the project’s backend was built using PHP and MySQL, with the Gemini API powering the AI capabilities. The frontend was developed with JavaScript and jQuery.
