Web app that uses hand-tracking with the help of a webcam to allow users to draw on a virtual canvas and then creates an AI generated art piece based on the initial drawing. The user draws the initial image using the tip of their index fingers and enters a prompt describing the drawing. Then, the user drawing and the prompt are sent to a custom API built on Flask, which uses Stable Diffusion img-2-img model to create a more complex, detailed version of the original artwork.

With the increase in popularity of generative AI models, the internet has been flooded with images for which users only needed to write down a prompt to create. These AI generated images, called AI art by some, usually have very limited user input, which raises the question:

Who created the piece, user or machine?

Imaginair is an attempt to explore a new approach to this issue. Giving more control and responsibility to the user, now elements like composition and color are not decided exclusively by the model, but are balanced between user input and AI, making the final piece a more tangible collaboration between human and computer.
